I love to build things and began experimenting with making wooden boxes. Especially ones with traditional spline joints. I love how they a) strengthen a miter joint and b) look amazing with contrasting species of wood. I showed my wife Christina a sample box I made and she said:
"That looks really nice. Hmm, do you think you can make the corners look like a cross?"
Boom! What an amazing idea, and I got to work right away building a prototype. I searched and searched the web and couldn't find any example of this being done before. Hence, the Cross Joint and Crossmanship were born.
It's such a blessing being able to make fine pieces of art and glorify God in the process.
We would love the opportunity to work with you to design a hand crafted wooden piece for your special person or occasion. Please email me at andy@crossmanship.com to begin the design process and discuss pricing.
